Cones Cones are used as part of a graded exercise programme of vaginal weight lifting. The plastic cones are tampon shaped with a cord for easy removal and they unscrew in the middle so that weights can be inserted. The cone is inserted into the vagina and if weighted correctly the pelvic floor muscles will have to work hard to keep it there. As the ability to hold the cone in place increases the weight is also increased. A vaginal cone is often incorporated into a home exercise programme and used from fifteen to thirty minutes daily.
